Fox News earned 1,567,000 prime-time viewers last week, returning to the top spot among cable news networks.
According to Nielsen ratings, Fox News increased 14% in viewership for the 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. hours, while MSNBC, the No. 1 prime-time slot the previous week, lost 8% of viewers, which brought it to 1.4 million. It was the first time Fox had been bested in 120 weeks. Even the week that it wasn't at the top, Fox News increased by 10.9% more.

Across all categories and time slots, The Five was the top cable news program for the eighth consecutive week at 2,644,000 viewers. Fox News Tonight, which was previously hosted by Tucker Carlson but had Brian Kilmeade at the helm last week, garnered 1,782,000 viewers.
Meanwhile, Carlson's most recent episode on his Twitter show saw over 13.8 million views. It was his fifth episode, and he posted it a little before a quarter to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

CNN's Anderson Cooper was in third place for the 8 p.m. hour with 739,000 tuning in, while MSNBC took second with 1,344,000 viewers.
These most recent ratings came before Fox News's Sean Hannity hosted a town hall event Tuesday for Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination.
